A Very Vegetabley Zine

A Very Vegetable project is a zine and series of prints inspired by small village communities, made in collaboration with Mary Buchanan. Struck by the peaceful and contemplative nature of growing your own produce and living life sustainably, we applied our zine making and character development skills to create a minful body of work that reflects our ideals and celebrates our shared love of slow living and vegetables.

The reverse of each zine is larger pattern of vegetables that was hand painted by both illustrators straight onto the screen print positives with pen and ink. The accompanying prints explore the wider themes of seasonality and community living. These were hand finished with crayon and pencil.
