Nature & Nurture

My work has been focused on the relationship of the family and one's own relationship with nature and the environment. I have created my illustrations around gardening and children's literature as well as connecting with and caring for animals and the world. These are some of the values I have grown up with and would like to continue to create within my work moving forward. My grandmother wrote a book about her time caring for abandoned cats when I was a toddler and she taught me to care for animals. Now I have illustrated her book "Bill and Pat's Backyard Cats" and brought the important lessons she taught me to life for other children to grow up reading. I hope our book will bring other families as much joy as it has brought mine. I have created other works related to children's development like my gardening counting poster to help kids connect with nature and enjoy spending time outdoors.
