Introduction

Interior design for me is necessary to go beyond meeting the basic needs of people for space to meeting the spiritual needs, and giving the client a unique connection to the space. The retail space in this project provides an opportunity for ECA students of all disciplines to showcase and sell their work. I intend to utilize this structure to connect different separate functional areas together to enhance the integrity of the space. And to increase the interaction between people and the space by guiding their routes through the space with this structure.

Manifesto

At its most central, interior design as a discipline is about better meeting people's needs.

Interior design is necessary to meet the basic needs of people for space.

Interior design is about making spaces that are comfortable and efficient for people.

Interior design is the experience, understanding and analysis of space. And based on this, the space is planned so that the functions and routes of the space meet the needs of people's activities.

Interior design goes further and meets people's spiritual needs.

Interior design allows the user to have a unique connection with the space.

Interior design can combine structure and art. It allows people to not only use the space but to interact with it and connect with each other. People leave their own traces to shape the space and also receive emotions in it. These are all points that the discipline of interior design needs to continue to refine and investigate.

Interior design should be sustainable.

Interior design can support sustainable strategies in terms of materials, storage and recycling of energy such as electricity, the practicality and duration of a space and the efficiency of its use.
