Work Elaboration

I wanted to design a wellness center to use the ground floors directly north of the building. The primary nature of the center will be a student health treatment center, complemented by an integrated leisure space with a spa, lounge, retail, and catering. I would like to continue the design of my rooftop open-air pool based on the connecting course, or if that is not found to be achievable, then we will explore how we can implement an indoor pool to meet my design ideas. Overall, the main aim of the design is to explore the realisability of building an indoor leisure pool, including the challenge of integrating the pool space with the design of the structure in a harmonious and natural way.

Firstly, the initial idea was simply that I thought hydrotherapy would be very helpful to patients, as it could relieve fatigue, improve mood, and have a range of other effects.

Secondly, I thought that the combination of the two elements, water, and light, in the space would create an amazing spatial response. The light and shadows that form in the space can reflect the waves, which I think embodies the aesthetic of timelessness and transience that is part of my interior design statement.

Furthermore, I think that the presence of the pool could be connected to the surrounding space and the space below or just to the surrounding space, as I plan to make the bottom of the pool hollowed out (of course this idea will have to be explored in detail to be realized).
