BLUE

Pencil, ink and photoshop

This comic is inspired by Derek Jarman's 1993 film Blue, conveying to viewers the sentiment when facing the vast sea - the ebb and flow of life and its eternity. She employed black ink to achieve a cyanotype effect. Bridging the realms of cinema and literature, this artwork explores possibilities of the comic medium.

The Isle of Mull

Pencil and watercolour on paper

This single-page comic originates from thoughts during a visit to the Isle of Mull in Scotland.

‘On an pathless island we wandered, sharing secrets

The wind heard, and so did the trees

Our noses touched by thin sea air

We could be alone, yet together’
