Around the Table is a cook school and community kitchen for neurodiverse students at the University of Edinburgh.

Up to one in seven people in the UK are neurodivergent, many of whom struggle day to day with cooking and experiencing sensory overload in public spaces.

This project aims to combat the prevelance of sensory overload in public spaces by designing a sensory safe space. This will be achieved by using thoughtful lighting design, purposeful selection of materials and effective wayfinding.
