Today with all the advances in medicine and the new drugs created by brilliant minds from across the world for the benefit of mankind, there are still people at street level who can figure out that  with the right combination of drugs, a high can be achieved. The average  drug user on the street soon learns how to use medicine to their advantage, usually accomplished  without a P.H.D in Medicine, which is quite alarming considering the drug crisis in Scotland.

This work is based around the idea that small huts could easily be built and continue to be preserved within our society as an alternative life choice by allowing ordinary people who would like the opportunity to build small escapes for weekends and holidays. We as a society are living with the pressures of modern day living 24/7 and our wellbeing and life stresses are all taking it toll.

As an Artist and also a hutter whilst being part Carbeth hutting community, Carbeth with it's basic resources the use of standpipes for drinking water, composting toilets, with some hutter using small wind turbines and solar panels attached to huts for power, but most enjoy being off-grid sitting in front of the log fire, allowing for some sort mindfulness and nature into our lives

I am interested in preserving this fragile world of hutting, communities determination to exist in the 21st Century
