Project Statement

I find my inspiration in the mesmerizing architecture that I encountered during my travels throughout Europe, as well as in the ornate and intricate style of ancient Indian jewellery. The intricate details and unique designs that I encountered captured my imagination, and I found myself sketching extensively to document my journey. Using these sketches as a foundation, I began making and designing my jewellery pieces. Each piece reflects the architectural style and motifs that caught my eye, as well as the intricate and detailed style of ancient Indian jewellery, transformed into wearable art.

My graduate collection is called “Architexture”. It mainly has three series which are " Gold plating series", "Wire structure series" and "Acrylic series". My designs are an expression of my deep understanding and emotional connection with the architectural lines and recreate the texture. I strive to unique forms of expression that balance the delicate interplay between simplicity and complexity, ultimately capturing the essence of my creative vision. The use of silver wire and colorful acrylic in my pieces adds a distinct dimension to my work, which is primarily focused on capturing the beauty and complexity of architecture and stained-glass windows. Through a carefully dyeing process utilizing acrylics, I sought to emulate the awe-inspiring visual impact of stained-glass windows commonly found in church. My artistic style is a fusion of traditional and modern design elements. I draw inspiration from the rich history and cultural heritage of both European architecture and ancient Indian jewellery, while incorporating modern techniques and materials into my work. Through my design, I aim to explore the interplay between light, colour, and structure, inviting the viewer to contemplate the beauty of both the natural and man-made world.
