Project descriptions
Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke; Inspired by the physical attributes of books, their covers, pages, gilding and fore-edge paintings, this project is a mix of medieval fantasy and contemporary silhouettes. Roxanne is a herbal medic who saves the other characters in the story, by using the plants that she gathers and carries in her many pouches and pockets.
The Last of the Sky Pirates by Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell; Looking at 1930-40s flight clothing and macro photography of insects, this project is designed to be an outdoor immersive performance in which the audience follows the characters on a journey through Faskally forest. Rook's flight clothing takes on the form of a Stormhornet, mimicking the shape that his flightcraft takes
