Missing Woman

Missing Woman is my latest practice about foot binding.I went to the Surgeon's Hall Museums and shocked by the feet smaller than my palm.I went there with my another Chinese girlfriend yanbing whose great-grandmother are proud of her binding feet that only girls from wealthy or upper class families would receive this.

It is also a satire towards"put yourself in my place""put yourself in their shoes".How many women are suffering from some weird standard and losing real self? Why women have to sacrifice themselves for others' sake?

Paradise of Beings

I just jumped into a forest and met a group of goats.They did not get scared of me and treated me equally as one of them. Every creature is born to be equal and respectful. There was a big family.This little one just bleated for mom. They fed themselves and had a rest in this forest.We all are as tiny as ants ,yet live up to be glorious and giant as true gods. And I was just there, staring at them and imagining that this is my truly spiritual hometown.

Nüshu – literally meaning “female script”, is the only writing system in the world created and used by women in Jiangyong county, Hunan province，which is still surviving characters exclusively for women.I wrote this single pattern of word which means 'women' on my girlfriend's body and invited her to write on mine.Nüshu,female script, is also called as calligraphy of tears.The words pass from her palms to mine,from her body passing to mine,every woman 's destiny is closely connected.
